Seriously, it’s really just… rude.
You can’t just… ask someone to be friends with you, and then you’re just automatically friends (sometimes even I wish it was like that, there’s a lot of artists I’d like to get to know). But friendship doesn’t work like that.
And it’s not a matter of how well you can draw. I have a ton of friends who can’t draw at all, and I’m acquaintances with people who CAN draw, but we just didn’t develop a close friendship because we just didn’t have the ~*chemistry*~.
So yeah don’t do this.

Yes, a million times, yes.
Not only is it rude, but I have a terrible weakness to being pressured, people who do this may leave thinking I’m an arsehole or whatever but I have the worst times saying no, and it leaves me feeling terrible and a little bit shit about myself, so in what universe would anyone think that would make me want to be their friend?
It makes me wonder sometimes, I mean would they go up to a stranger at school or work or whatever, and say “hey it was my birthday, can you give me something?”
That’s probably a big no, because why would anyone do that?
If I want to draw someone a picture for their birthday I will, but don’t bloody ask, I don’t do well under pressure, as a lot of people probably know now.
